Sushi Maker
Sushi Makers will be trained to:
Make rolls, sushi, and sashimi to Sakana’s standards
Cut and clean fish
Make sushi rice
Plate beautiful dishes that draw customers attention
Interact and connect with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Maintain a clean workstation
Quality check all seafood product
Build knowledge to explain any food-related question to customers
*Upon completion of training Sushi Makers will be promoted to Sushi Chefs and start receiving tips.
Requirements:
Food Handlers Card
Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times
Must be able to work as part of a team and recognize the importance of each team member’s role in the guest dining experience
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Not Required but appreciated:
Knowledge of industry standards on food storage and handling techniques is highly desirable
Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
Ability to entertain and perform in front of guests is strongly desired
