Sushi Maker

Sushi Makers will be trained to:

  • Make rolls, sushi, and sashimi to Sakana’s standards

  • Cut and clean fish

  • Make sushi rice

  • Plate beautiful dishes that draw customers attention

  • Interact and connect with guests in a friendly and professional manner

  • Maintain a clean workstation

  • Quality check all seafood product

  • Build knowledge to explain any food-related question to customers


*Upon completion of training Sushi Makers will be promoted to Sushi Chefs and start receiving tips.


Requirements:

  • Food Handlers Card

  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times

  • Must be able to work as part of a team and recognize the importance of each team member’s role in the guest dining experience

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time


Not Required but appreciated:

  • Knowledge of industry standards on food storage and handling techniques is highly desirable

  • Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry

  • Ability to entertain and perform in front of guests is strongly desired
